OUR MISSION

Leighton Buzzard Voluntary Patient Transport's (LBVPT) mission is to provide transport to local hospitals, for those in need who can't get to them without assistance, and who don't qualify for NHS help with travel.

Getting to a hospital appointment can be particularly difficult for some elderly or vulnerable adults in our community, especially those who cannot afford a taxi, who find public transport difficult to use or who are unable to get lifts from friends, family or neighbours.

LBVPT is a charitable organisation that provides a safe, inexpensive and reliable means of transport to our local hospitals for those in need. 

We do not provide transport to dentist, optician or doctors appointments. 

Our intention is to seek formal Charity status at the earliest opportunity with The Charity Commission.
